My new bub arrived over the weekend!
I have taken the dubious title of the midwife’s personal fastest delivery. I was 3cm in my room – 8cms after the wheelchair ride to the birthing suite – and the birth took under 25mins (can I get a hellz yeah!). Didn’t give my OB time to arrive OR get an epidural. Luckily nitrous works a charm for me and I was totally Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds while this was all going on. Would have been a bit hairy otherwise.
Think we’d better stop at two babies – lest you see us on the news after delivering in the cold foods section at Coles.
The Bubs took the full force with her face, poor thing. She is still working her bruising through her system so is under UV lights for a bit longer. Otherwise she is very well. Feeding like an old pro. Morale is high, even after six days in hospital and missing the Todder terribly. Keep reminding myself our gorgeous new girl is absolutely worth Mummy being a bit (a LOT) homesick.
Oh, and there’s tea and cake three times a day.
