The comments of the President of the RSPCA in Victoria Hugh Wirth are not worth a bean. People like that should not be in charge of Animal Rescue organizations, it,s just a no-brainer. They are no help to anyone, least of all people who are unfortunate enough to be bitten by a dog. He should be sacked for racism against dogs.
It seems strange to have so many dogs off-leash in the same place, the owners should consider building their dogs a DOG RUN when they are not around. Tying dogs up is also not a good idea as they themselves are defenceless if they are threatened by something. It would be better to leave them inside the house.

Also, regarding the comments from the RSPCA, the word “Pit Bull” is a euphemism for the American Pit Bull Terrier, or “APBT”, which is a famous and popular dog in many countries, including the United States of America.
Australia does not need Breed Specific Legislation. I would suggest that people write letters to their local members about this. I have written to some and recieved some favourable comments. The Premier at the moment in Victoria is Denis Napthine, and the e-mail address is [email protected].
