14 months ago, Rocket was stolen from his family. He has been locked up, allowed no visits and kept in a secret location by Cardinia Shire Council.
In December his family took their case to the supreme court and won. This should have guaranteed Rocket’s freedom and allowed him to return to his family.
But Cardinia Council are determined to kill Rocket. They have kept the dog, and taken the case back to VCAT.
Every day we hear councils complain that they have to kill pets because people don’t care enough. That too many people ‘abandon’ their animals.
Here we have a family who care about their dog enough to take the case to court, not once, not twice – but now with this upcoming case – three times, in order to save their pet’s life.
BSL is bad for the community.
I hope that they win the case this time. Surely if they won the case in the Supreme Court, that should have been the end of it? Why do they insist on killing a dog that has been deemed safe to go home? Shame on you Cardinia Council!! Send Rocket home to his loving family!!!
