Open admission, No Kill shelters in the US have a problem – they’ve run out of cats!
So now they’re pulling cats from other communities.
This week, KCPP hit another milestone. Due to adoption numbers and help from local area groups, we were able to pull cats for adoption from another local shelter! Yesterday, we took in 14 cats and kittens that are available for adoption today!

Are we really happy for our Australian pounds & shelters to keep using the money we’re giving them via taxes and donations, to run specialised-boutique slaughterhouses for cats?
Or do we believe our animals deserve compassion & care?
As Australians it is our choice. To keep following the guidance of those who proclaim themselves to be ‘experts’ who say the killing is necessary – and keep killing forever. Or to follow the path of proven success and demand No Kill.
What future do you want to see?
Thanks for the shoutout Shel. With the off-site adoption facility and the winter weather we were adopting them out faster than they were coming in….but alas, even that is short lived as we’re working hard to keep up again. But hey, proud to help a few others when we had the opportunity!
