I’m home sick, so today’s post is about tea.
Dilmah is the only international brand name owned by tea growers. We pack our tea shelf ready, right where it is grown. Earnings therefore remain in Sri Lanka for the benefit of our workers, the community and the future of our industry.
Our mission is to offer you the world’s freshest & finest tea and bring our workers hope of a better future.
Every time you buy Dilmah you pledge your support for our mission.
Thankyou!
We often talk about how rescuing pets is the ethical choice. We realise that a lot of the people seeking rescue pets do so because they’re good eggs, and simply want to do something extra nice along with adopting a new friend.
But when we then sit down to write copy for our websites and brochures, we often forget to try and harness this good will. We’re less likely to say ‘there are hundreds of loving, deserving pets available in rescue – you can change a life today by choosing the adoption option’, and more likely to say ‘we have lots of pets because people are just so crap’.
Its not the same message and trash talk does little to encourage or inspire.
Dilmah recognises that people enjoy feeling that purchasing their products is a socially responsible thing to do. If being ethical and virtuous is such a strong message that it effects someone making a split second decision about tea, imagine how powerful it could be in appealing to those nice people considering the adoption option.
And now, surrounded by sleeping hounds, I’m going to watch trashy afternoon TV and drink tea.
