Puppies are produced en-mass and sold in every pet store. Kittens are available free from the newspaper.
We don’t have to like it, but we do have to accept it. And we have to realise that people outside the rescue industry don’t care about the ‘ethics’ of it all.
They just want to get a pet.
Now our pets aren’t purebred. They’re often not brand new. They’re not free.
But we do have some advantages.
People who adopt from us are saving a life – there’s a significant feel good factor. And then there’s you.
You have to know that you make the difference. There has to be something you can offer that other sources of pets can’t.
